No, they are not golf cart batteries. They are Energizer rv/marine deep cycle. They come with a 1 year free replacement and a 3 year pro-rated.

I'll keep you posted. I can replace these 3 times for the cost of a set of Trojan's. For a neighbor type cart I can't justify the price difference. Time will tell. I'll be the first to tell you if I'm wrong.

If you have a Garmin or similar NAV device keep it on your cart for the day. Measure how many miles you get on one charge... that will help in determining your run time first off. Just post the results back here

Also, Sam's sells Golf Cart Batteries... were the batteries you purchased Marine or Gold Cart 12 volt?

Deep Cycle batteries are designed for continual charge/drain/charge cycles while others are not. That's why they're used in golf carts, RV's for their inverters, etc.

Thanks Steve...

I haven't checked lately but thought that Sam's and Costco did not sell the 12v golf cart batteries?

My Costco only sells 6 and 8 volt golf cart batteries but does sell 12 volt marine.

Now that you mention it, the CostCo batteries may not be 12V
