2004 PDS ezgo
I recently added a dash board digital meter from Scotty. It looks great and is working. The question I have is once charged it reads 38.2. When I drive it draws down to 31.6 at full throtle. I reach 36.2 (50%) after only limetted use time. Charging takes six to eight hours and drive time to 50% may be only one nine hole round. Is it time for batterys?

Batteries are shot. Load test each battery then test each cell with a hydrometer and post your findings here

Welcome to BGW!
Looks like that meter really screwed up your batteries. (sorry, Scottyb) But seriously, those numbers don't look good. How old and what kind are the batteries? And, the meter from Scottyb did NOT cause this issue, merely confirmed what you already suspected. |

Re: 2004 PDS ezgo
I don't for a moment believe the meter is doing more than working. I have Trojon batterys that are possible as old as my golf cart. I recently replaced all wires, induction throtle switch and had to controler rebuilt from my local Ezgo. Should be working better. I will load test the batterys this weekend. Don't have my tools out killing bambi. Thank you all.

Re: 2004 PDS ezgo
Well if your batteries are 7 years old they are way past the service life and have treated someone very well.

Re: 2004 PDS ezgo
....just brutal, G Healthy batteries should make 18 any-day and 36 on a good day, or 100 minutes of actual peddle time... hope this helps
