Money does = speed
Have a 2002 Series TXT, with the exception of a lift and 22" tires was totally stock and GPS'd at 15.2mph. Called Scottyb at Carts Unlimited, told him I wanted a little more speed and some more torque for the ranch and he sent me an FSIP 400/500 amp controller, 2ga cables, solenoid, diode, F/R cam, a voltage reducer and a 48v charger. Got some new Trojan T875 batteries, and just installed everything today. So I went from 36v to 48v. Amazingly I installed everything correctly thanks to Scottys detailed instructions, charged the batteries a while and took it for a test drive....Holy Crap!! 22.4mph and a TON of torque. And I still have the stock motor. Kudos to Scotty. The only downside is now I have to spring for the new disc brakes! (Sorry for the sideways pics)

Yeah, money can't buy happiness, but it'll put you in places where it's the most likely to happen.
Glad you are happy and thanks for supporting our site sponsors. |

Re: Money does = speed
I'm in the same boat as you 308. I haven't upgraded my batteries yet so I'm still 36V but I can tell a big difference already. I was not looking to get a speed boost like you are seeing. How's your torque? I'll have my batts next week and hopefully be running in your league! I agree, lots of money and ScottyB's number is all you need to get a cart performing!

Re: Money does = speed
Thank you for the props .308
I love making carts perform better... My wife drove a stock 48v CC today and said that thing is dog next to my cart... Well, hello!~ Cart guy husband We use our carts on the ranch and at horse shows all year round. Our terrain is hilly with clay or sandy bottoms ...... We know torque is king and speed is a bonus. Glad you are happy with your mods so far. Thank you for the business. |
