I spent the money on a 500amp controller and new motor, solenoid, F&R with a 6"lift, rear seat and 23's and get 23mph on phone app. I wish I could get to 30mph like others on this site. My next thought and it could help you is rear gear change. I have eyed them for a year on sponsors websites and you can get them for around $300. I just don't know if I am willing to tackle it and be out of commission if I need a press. Take a pic or mental note of your rear axle before searching for the gears......it matters what axle you have. Good luck.

basically changing tire size from 18" to 23" you have changed the gear ratio from 12:1 to 8:1 already

Technically according to the speed calculator You need to go from 18 to 27 inches tire to get the equivalent of an 8:1 gear.

If You already have 23 inch tires, switching to 8:1 gears is the same as changing the tire to 34 inches.

Been thru the upgrade and mods. A PQ motor buys you 20-22 MPH. If you want more than that as others have said you need cables, HD Switch and controller and a motor. If you change the ratio then you lose torque (guts). I have stock gears and I pull 33 + MPH.

If a PQ motor buys you only 20-22 mph why waste your $ ? You can get 19.5 mph with code 4
