High speed Admiral motor

I noticed : the cart started to roll ( slight incline) back I depressed pedal in fwd setting and it stopped rolling. I let off and it continued rolling. There must be something there.

I'm going to test Roady's way tonight and see what happens

The one you tried was for a series motor....thats wrong. Use the one I posted.

You have an 02 AQ= Electric I.Q. Golf Car, 48 Volt Regen. So the motor is correct.

OK, Roady's way worked! The motor spun the wheels and at a fast speed.

So the motor is good, now What?

After the solenoid clicks first time. 10 seconds later it clicks a second time. Is this a problem?

I noticed the A1 wire get hot when pedal is depressed in fwd position

Don't know if he's reliable But the cart shop said they checked controller and potentiometer.

I'm about ready to just hitch a couple of mules to this thing and let the grand kids go

Wheres the stock motor? Try putting the stocker back on and see if she runs.....if she does then what you have is an incompatible combo....if it doesn't you likely popped the controller somehow.


The 2 solenoid clicks, yes, I believe so.

The 2 clicks only in fwd in reverse clicks once till you release the pedal then it clicks again.

The old motor has pieces of the copper contact missing on armature. The brushes were so bad that one brush wedged between the tin holder and broke the brush holder board.

I'll have to buy new motor.

Some times when you hit the pedal wheels will roll 1/4 " I've been going over all the connections, can't find anything.

I guess I'm going to try to find a used controller, if that doesn't new motor one more time.

I don't see any where in this thread how old the batteries are, or the volt readings??
