I'll add my final experience. I purchased a new mcor, but prior to installing I tried a couple different throttle up settings as a benchmark. On setting 1 the cart was relatively smooth, slight jerkiness and some response lag. Setting 3: notable jerkiness and throttle lag. Setting 8: HORRIBLE jerkiness, very little lag but there was no way you could take off with out the cart violently jerking.
Installed the new Mcor and ran the same tests. Smooth as butter on every setting. As I look back on the issue it didn't start the day I installed my Altrax, the performance degraded over time. I'm wondering if it was the Mcor degrading and the Altrax amplified it, or did the Altrax cause the degradation of the Mcor? With a new one installed, time will tell.
