1982 DS missing throttle linkage
Just replaced the F&R switch and now the primary (main) solenoid. Cart no longer goes full throttle forward/ reverse when the cart is on. :)
Now I can't get the cart to go at all. I looked underneath and there is no cable/ rod connected to the spring that is connect to the throttle. What part do I need and where do I connect it? Main solenoid? |

Re: 1982 DS missing throttle linkage
Can you post a pic, Tex? Not sure but the 82 CC may have had a box of micro switches at the end of the gas peddle .... and just wire connections from there.

Re: 1982 DS missing throttle linkage
You are correct. It has the micro switches. I had to put some in as the old ones were partially ripped out, and it appears the person also took the cable out that connects them to the throttle pedal. The cable is what I need. Looks like it hooks to a "nipple" on the micro switch box. I can post a pic tomorrow if you still need
Second question. I replaced the master solenoid today. I manually moved the plate in the micro switches, with the key on and engaged. I hear clicking but the cart doesn't move. What are the chances the master solenoid, which is brand new is bad or the speed assembly, also new, is bad? Am I asking to many questions? |

Re: 1982 DS missing throttle linkage
Sorry it only let me load one picture at a time
As you can see there is a nipple on the speed assembly and one on the throttle pedal assembly, below the car. I am not sure the cable and mounting to connect the two Last edited by texaswheelock; 01-19-2013 at 12:22 AM.. Reason: Texas spelling |

Re: 1982 DS missing throttle linkage
I thought it was connected with a rod? the micro switches are triggered by a white plastic slider... I think that requires a push toward the rear of the cart (by a rod) to activate the solenoids... Chances are you have a bad micro switch (MS) or 2 in that box.
