Re: My 2008 Precedent Rebuild Project
I will most likely add seat belts. Until then, the momma is gonna sit in the back with one of them and the other can ride up front with me. I have one kid who probably never fall out and another who would definitely fall out You know the kind of kid..
More pics to come soon, AllSports 3 inch lift is in the mail, half of the frame is primed and I think I am going to just throw some clear on the primer, cause I like the shade of the primer. Pics to come tomorrow. |

Re: My 2008 Precedent Rebuild Project
Alright, I got a lot done today and here are the pics. I also managed to get 18 holes in today.
The I-beam support of the frame is still drying, but I should be able to get the frame together on Saturday. Life kit is in the mail, should be here next week. I'm going to order the wheels tonight or tomorrow night. Looking for some 14inch wheels with lo-pros, if anyone has some leads on some good prices. More to come! |

Re: My 2008 Precedent Rebuild Project
Front lift kit is all bolted on I'll have pics up later.
Had an using installing the front left spindle to the lower a-arm. The kit said that cross threading was not covered by the warranty, so I was very, very carefull when putting it together. The screw when in very easily for about 3-4 revolutions, so I thought it was set right and everything appeared to be straight. Well when the screw was about half way in everything stopped and I knew something was wrong, pretty sure Its cross threaded. Now here's a question, I know ideally that screw should be all the way in, but I was able to rig it with a lugnut as a spacer to get the spindle seated nice and tight. I have about a 1/4 inch of the screw in the spindle. Is this enough "bite" or can this be a real problem in the future. It seems to be hold very solid. Any suggestions? |
