Default Help with choosing next cart to buy please.

Looking to upgrade from my CC Caroche to a newer cart. I am not familiar with the different models and need some help with narrowing down a purchase. I think I want a DS model so I can put my Caroche body on it. I also want to get a cart without a vglide, resistors or any solenoids, just solid state. I know I want 48v.
Please help me with deciding what year/ model I need to find. I plan to lift it 6" and have 22" tires. I want something to be able to climb hills so I will upgrade components after the initial purchase.
Thanks!

Here is a pic of the Caroche.

I agree, can't you upgrade the drive system in the Caroche?
That thing is awesome!

Thanks! The Caroche body will bolt right on a DS. The Caroche steering is a bevel gearbox not like the newer rack and pinion and brakes suck compared to the new stuff. Plus, having resistors and solenoids for the type of driving I do is terrible.

Ok, that's cool that the body will bolt right on.
I would recommend a 48v series DS, since you will lift it and need torque.

What years 48v has a potentiometer instead of a v glide?

I think in 95-96 they actually stopped putting v-glides in carts and went solely to potentiometers. Then in late 96 or 97 they actually went back to v-glides. My first cart was a 96 and it had a potentiometer.

So, I really can't tell unless I look for myself? This is frustrating at best.

Pretty much, yes.
The pot boxes were so bad that CC went back to the V-glide until the MCOR came out...
