I would assume that most carts for sale will need batteries soon. Make sure that you learn the condition of the batteries because you are looking at a substantial sum to replace them. You should factor that into what you are willing to pay.

Re: Best option for $3k budget and hills?
At this point I'm looking for something running that I can upgrade / modify immediately and over time. My life is too chaotic to devote a ton of time to a fixxer upper.

Not much to modify on RXV drivetrain/controller setup.( and not much need stock system is GREAT!)
Best to leave that alone or to experienced RXV tech. Check in on BGW Electric Ez-Go site BEFORE messing with electrical system ( PLEASE !!!) Go WILD with other mods !!!!!! Tops/Seats/speaker boxes/dash kits/paint job !!!!! yeaaaah !!! |

Good prices for newer stuff in your area. 3k is reasonable for your wants. Just be willing to turn a wrench and do a little homework.
Around me there are 3 to 5 carts daily for $1500+ that need batteries, cosmetics etc.... All 2000 or older. I need to make a road trip to Utah again... Who knew?? |

Re: Best option for $3k budget and hills?
I'm with Hitechredneck. I've not seen another stock cart that can run hills like an RXV with good batteries. It seems that it doesn't lose any speed going uphill. My 500 amp controller carts don't do that. I only have club car carts myself and I don't leave anything stock. But I've been impressed with the RXV's from that standpoint for sure. Just my opinion.
