Just did mine, hit frame with wire brush on a drill motor and then coated it twice with bed liner. Works great. Just put new batteries in it after nine and a half years of the old ones.

That looks great. Can you tell me what you neutralized it with. Baking soda and water? A commercial product?

I had to buy a new tray mine was almost gone. I bought an Aluminum tray and cleaned it with acetone and self etching primer, then truck bed liner. So far it's holding up great.

Battery acid cleaner from Advance Auto. It's a white foam the turns pink if it comes in contact with acid. Comes in a yellow can.

How is the tray holding up? I am considering an aluminum tray.
