I went with the Alltrax XCT500 and it's great. I've got it, a 400amp HD solenoid and 2AWG cables installed. There were no notable hiccups during installation other than it being a tight fit. I charged the batteries overnight and ended up with a 51.0 volt pack this morning. The initial torque is much, much better than before, no comparison. But, the top end speed doesn't seem to be there. I topped out at 18.8 going down a slight hill and about 15.5 on a flat surface (flat ground). I'll check my air pressures after work to make sure they are where they are supposed to be. Other than that, does this sound normal for a cart with upgraded electronics and a stock motor?

What field map are you using?

What did you set the max rpm to?

Right now I'm using the field map that ScottyB setup for me. I'll check it out and see what the max rpms are set at.

It might be the generic map. Check your motor part number and call Alltrax.

Ok. I'll check the model number this evening after work as well as the Max RPM setting. I did turn on logging for a minute this morning. Under the 'speed' column, it showed it in the upper 2900's a lot with it going over 3000 only 1 time (304.

If You look at the top of that log file, you have the controller model #, s/n and Field Map used.

I started with the UNIMAP-V1 and noticed a similar issue with top speed and what it seemed like a lack of HP.

I changed it to the EJ4-4001-V9, which is the latest for the stock ADC motor as of last week and it had a very noticeable impact on top speed and the motor is definitely developing more HP based on the armature current going up.

Call Altrax (number on their website) and they will email you the EJ4-4001-V9 file for the stock motor right away.

I think the UNIMAP-V1 is just a little "too safe"...
