I was required to have mechanical brakes to get a decal from the city to be “street legal”. I rarely if ever touch the brake pedal even going 30+. There are no hills where I live. However the peace of mind knowing if I need to stop in a hurry with the wife and child riding with me is well worth the few hundred dollars.

Mine just doesn't have enough braking to me when letting off at high speeds but a lot of our driving is in the tight cart paths though out the city.

Twilson, Did you have to bleed the brakes during or after install?

I didn’t. I was able to keep the air out during install. I do remember the instructions having the steps for bleeding if needed.

95% of my driving is on flat city streets.

Here lately I feel like my brakes just aren't that great and I need more stopping power.
How did you get this bad boy to do 35mph?

Its actually a stock cart, just a lithium RXV turned up with 14" wheels and tall street tires. With it being lithium you get all the power instantaneously as well, it's a rocket.

A Bob Boyce tuned 350 amp Curtis controller, 23 inch tires and 2 gauge battery cables.

The 350 amp Curtis controller would be the same as a 1050 Amp controller if you use the Navitas method of calculating the current rating!

Always curious to see the math on how AMPS is calculated by Curtis, SME and Navitas.

For example an SME ACM1 controller is listed as "From 350 Arms to 500 Arms". But, how does that stack say to the Curtis 350 amp?
