Default Motor's Physical Adjustment

Hi all. I put a 6 inch lift on the buggy today and now the motor has shifted really close to the battery tray. The tray was an aftermarket addition and I honestly do not know if it has been hitting before the lift. Is this going to be an issue and if so, can I remove the bolts holding the motor together and rotate it for the leads to be out of the way of the battery tray? I tried to grind down the leads, but it is still closer than I'm comfortable with.

I also bought some adapters to put my old Honda Pioneer 500 tires on there and painted everything with Raptor Liner. Putting the rest of it back together tomorrow. It was a productive day.

Yes, you definitely can unbolt the motor & reclock it to point the terminals out of the way.

did you do a rear shackle lift or the right way of the over the axle spring lift? I think those parts were only like 40 bucks or so.

mine had the half butt shacle lift which would allow the axle to twist and shift and that caused me to burn up 2 sets of tires in a little over a year. so when I installed the jake's life it came with the parts to do it correctly and that puts the spring on top of the axle

I got the kit off Amazon from Seven Blacksmiths. The rear is the block lift setup and not the shackles. I tried to make the wheels work out, but I don't think they will. The backspacing is too bad to mount them correctly so I had to turn them inside out and mount from the inside. Now off to find some wheels and tires.
