Speaker install under f/r switch
Can anyone post pics of their install? I am going forward with my plan to add 2 speakers in that location but I am going to need a depth spacer. Trying to decide between a 6x9, another 6.5, or a low watt 7. I am likely going to install my voltage reducer and ditch the separate 12v as well but I am not 100%.
Any advice or detail pics (especially the back side) are appreciated. |

Re: Speaker install under f/r switch
Well I decided to go with 2 6x9’s and a 1 1/2 spacer. I also bought some speaker baffles to protect them a bit more but I might not use them bc I hear they rob you of bass. I originally intended to go with MB Quart’s but chose to just match my Rockford Fosgates up front. I can’t see using too expensive a setup with this install. If it wasn’t all free air I might use nicer stuff but I am also limited by my head units amp. Next time it might be a good 8 mounted in the bagwell, decent 6x9’s under the seat and 6.5’s in the dash driven by a dedicated amp. Waiting on parts then off to the stereo shop to mount my speakers
