Default What all is needed for the lester summit 2 charger

I've been out of the golf cart game for a little bit due to deaths in the family and covid kids school etc. Anyway I have a txt 36v. That I'm trying to get to 48v.
A few months back I installed alltrax sr48400 controller and 400 solenoid. Also I installed new f/r switch (series cart)
To the best of my knowledge the only thing I need now is new batteries and charger.
If I order the lester summit would I be able to just take the D-style plug from the power wise charger I currently have and just roll with it?
Also I saw mention that I may need longer battery cables but not sure because when I ordered the controller a few months back, I also ordered a set of wires with it so would those still work ok?
Any help would be good as my 36v batteries only last for maybe an hour or so until you can feel it start getting sluggish so I'd rather get new ones before it leaves me stranded

Upgrade the precharge resistor to 470 Ω

The precharge resistor goes on the solenoid. It needs to be upgraded for 48v.
The charger just needs 48v worth of batteries and a plug to fit the carts receptacle

When I did my upgrade to 48v, I used the D-style plug from my 36v charger (I just cut the cord off) and wired it onto the Summit charger.

I'm now finishing up installing it onboard, and removed the D-style charger from the cart and replaced it with a standard 110v plug.

As for the battery cables, if the cables you ordered were for the 8v batteries you should be good. The 8v batteries have the negative terminal on the same side as the positive terminal, so 6v cables will be short by about 2-3 inches.

Ok thank you for that. I also was thinking about installing the charger in the cavity next to the batteries because I would also need to install a 48vto 12v transformer for my lights and stuff.
Also the resistor that came with the solenoid...is there a way to tell the ohm rating on the resistor itself or would I be able to check it with a multimeter

The resistors have their values printer on them. A multimeter set to ohms will tell you the value as well.
