trying to make ONE 80's Club Car from TWO - possible???
Hello to all! I acquired two Club Cars - one from 1983 and one from 1984 - and I am trying to make one good one out of two not-so-good ones My first challenge is determining if either/both of the motors are good. BOTH MOTORS have terminals that are not marked (or at least not any longer) - one of the motors model number is 1012190 , but I cannot read the other - I have read the forums on how to jumper the terminals to isolate the motor to test it, but I don't want to do damage to EITHER motor, and want to be certain I am hooking them up the right way - To anyone who wishes to help - I can provide pics or descriptions that you require
1983 Club Car model/serial is A8318 45389 1984 Club Car model/serial is A8443 64679 Any and all help is GREATLY APPRECIATED! |

Anything is possible it just depends on your level and what tools you have at your disposal. Someone here should have info on the terminals. Welcome to BGW!

Thanks Decipher - I am a 44-year-old Ex-Computer/IT, X-Ray Tech and current Lawn Mower Mechanic (it puts food on the table and diapers on my kiddies) - so I "ain't skeered" to dig-in and get dirty. Thanks for the welcome - will post a few pics of these gems ASAP!

I know what you mean, decipher...I also still get called to work on computers, but not nearly like I used to - I have preferred to let the youngsters hack around on computers while I do more fun things, likeplay with engines, mowers and now, with a LOT of help from y'all - GOLF CARTS :-)
