97 electric club car
Hello,
I am having trouble with my 97 48volt club car. I am being told that it is a gen 2 model. I have installed new crown battery's, new 4 gage wires, about a month ago. the darn thing just stopped on me about a week ago while I was driving it. the car charges just fine but it just wont move. I have also noticed that the solenoid clicks hard when you turn the key on then I have a lighter click shortly afterwards. I have check for both loose wires & broken wires. I have checked with a meter and I am getting 50+ volts on both sides of the solenoid with out the pedal depressed. any sugestings would be very helpful as to I am @ a loss hear. |

Re: 97 electric club car
The solenoid sounds like it is stuck .... should not have continuity all the time ....

Re: 97 electric club car
Well I have since replaced the selnoid & the f/r switch.
still have the same problem...as soon as key is turned on the selnoid clicks....no click when peddle is pushed and no-go. I also had the motor checked and they told me it was just fine. |

Re: 97 electric club car
Sounds like either a bad microswitch in your potentiometer switch or a bad controller. On this model It's either a PotBox mounted below the seat or a V-Glide under the seat on the I-Beam... could be either one on this model. Check that microswitch first... If it's good you're gonna need a controller.
