So the motor is okay but you may have fried the controller with that direct short

You said you jumped the solenoid and it will not run?

Yea, I lifted the rear of the cart off the ground, put it in forward, pushed down on the pedal and jumpered across the two main terminals on the solonoid and nothing happened. I was leaning towards a bad controller but wanted other opinons before spending the $$$.
