Default 1996 club car help 36v

Ok I have been reading all the fixes and tricks on this site this place is great
anyway what I have is a 96 club car 36v
well my cart is not working I though I had it nailed with it being a solenoid
I did the whole jumper thing and my cart would move.
so I replaced it today and its doing the same thing.
Clicks, with a full charge,I can jump it and it works just like with the old soleniod has forward and reverse and has normal speed and will work with the key in the off postion when I jump it.

anyone know what eles it could be
please help
thanks

you said it clicks, but have you actually tested the Activation posts on the solenoid for power? Clamp 1 probe to each of the small posts of the solenoid and hit the gas..... What voltage are you seeing on the DVOM?

maybe you bought a bad solenoid. Was it an HD solenoid? Double check the stickies and make sure you didn't accidently wire it wrong 1st then try another solenoid.

The small diode on the solenoid on the activation posts is polarized. Make sure you have the positive side of the diode (Should have a red stripe) towards the positive activation wire.

If you jump the solenoid and it runs, did you press the gas pedal also for it to work? You need to have the key on, and throttle microswitch working to get 36v to the small posts.

If you are not getting power on the small posts (per the test I asked you to perform) you have to back trace the wiring and determine where the loss of power is. More than likely you have a microswitch gone bad. There are Micros in the V-Glide as well as a Micro on the F&R switch.
