I agree whole heartedly!

I'm in the process of going to 42v right now. I bought a delta-q "Quiq" charger and I'm trying to get it reprogrammed to run 42v (which MOST will do). I'll let you know the results.

With a 17% gain will I be over revving my motor I can run 25 or so as it is if I add 17% would be able to run about 30. Or would I just get to 25 faster

If your tires are truly 23" tall and you only reach 25 MPH at 36V, the motor is only spinning 4545 RPM. If you up the pack to 42V, you will up the motor to 5318 RPM (29.3 MPH on 23" tires) which is well below the 6500 RPM a stock PDS motor will spin with 42V on stock height tires, so you don't have to worry about over-revving, at least not on level ground.

The cart will also accelerate faster and won't slow to as low of speed going up hills.

FWIW: The 22% torque loss caused by the 23" tires reduces the max RPM for the applied voltage by about 18%, so by upping the voltage by 17%, your motor will max out at roughly the same RPM it would at 36V on stock height tires.

As stated already 42v is a great stepping stone. My carts range increase was one of the most notable things I can address. The power increase is nice too

I also have a 36v charger for sale for $100 plus shipping if you decide to stay at the current voltage.
