Tire Size
Wasn't sure where to post this, not specific to electric EZGO but that is what it would be going on so...
Anyways, 8.5x8 rim; can I put an 18x9.5x8 tire without any issues? I'm not looking to take this off-road, just yardwork and slight slopes. Wanting to keep if fairly stock for the time being. Just want to make sure the tires will work with my application. Thanks! |

Re: Tire Size
as long as you dont have any body clearance issues it is fine...my ez-go runs that size with turf master tread and i love them....you need to make sure the offset of the wheel is compatable(or back spaceing),are the rims aftermarket or what came on the vehicle?
what is the vehicle? hope this is helpful! |

Re: Tire Size
Bryce.....the numbers you posted....something isn't quite right....
is it ACTUALLY 18x9.5-8 as that is the normal way tire sizes are written out..... tire dia: 18 Aspect Ratio: 9.5 (actually how WIDE the tire is) rim diameter: 8 so with that in mind.....YES a tire that size will not only fit, it is designed for the size wheel you have. you can google golf cart tires 18x9.5-8 and find plenty and look at their spec's and they should show you what size wheels they will fit on. |

Re: Tire Size
Well i was hoping to place these:
http://www.buggiesunlimited.com/golf...18x950-8/40378 On a '78 Marathon. I was considering possibly those 2" spacers for the rear. I just didn't want to have to "customize" it too much. Was going to leave it stock with stock rims and just update the tires. Is there a preference on running inner tubes or tubeless? |

Re: Tire Size
i put a set of those on my buddys kawasaki 2wd atv and he uses it at race tracks to pull his race car in the paddock plus around his shop,ect...
that was in 2001 and they are still showing over 1/2 tread and have been used almost exclusively on blacktop-so they will do the trick,IMO..... |

Re: Tire Size
If your rims have the safety bead for tubeless tires and i'm sure they do then I see no reason to put tubes in those tires.
