Default So when are my batteries on empty?

Sorry if these are repeats of common questions. I'm new here and couldn't find the answer in the search.

I have a 2005 TXT and I just installed a voltage meter. My question is how low can I go before the cart is on empty? Will it stop at a certain voltage? What is the voltage for halfway to empty?

Also, what are the differences between using a voltage reducer for accessories and lights vs just hooking up to the first two batteries in a series?

Welcome to BGW ,what type of voltage meter did you install, the bar graph or the digital readout ?.I wouldn't put all my faith in those meters but use them as a guide.
You didn't say if your cart is 36 or 48V but you never want to go lower than 50% on those batteries.
On a 36 volt system 100% charge should be 38.20 volts and 50% is 36.31 volts.
On a 48 volt system 100% charge should be 50.93 volts and 50% is 48.41 volts.

48v is 50% so i tell my kid to head home when it reads 48.

Two of the batteries will be drawn more than if you used a reducer for the pack.

Welocome to the forum!
