Default 2000's Ezgo TXT steering broke

Hello,

I am in need of some help. I just recently bought this golf cart. The steering was very loose, as in you would have to make a complete rotation before the steering would react and the wheels would turn (I know dumb me).... just recently the part that was attached to the steering arm broke off...I noticed this was a "self repair" from the previous owner...and I’m assuming they added a lift kit and this is why they put this homemade piece on.

2nd issue is that when the steering is turned all the way to the left or right the tires are rubbing.

If there is something I can buy to fix these issues please let me know. I’m trying to save some money and avoid taking this to a repair shop

I added some photos, so hope these help... If need more info. Please let me know

Thanks for any help y'all can provide

David

Wheel spacers should take care of the rubbing issue.

Thanks i didn't know that about the lift...also, when this piece was bolted together is was very loose while steering. then the bolt broke in half..i'm guessing from all the strain of turning the wheel.. the previous owner constructed the rectangle piece together and bolted it on..it is not factory..so would that rectangle piece be replaceable?

thanks
