89 EXGO electric diag help and info needed
I recently picked up a 89 EZGO electric cart. It's in decent shape..but needs batteries and cables. I don't want to dump a lot into this thing testing it. Should I just look for some used batteries? Can I make cables instead of buying them? How many cables do I need and what length are they?

doing it totally right....you need a COMPLETE set (the ones for the system AND all of the batteries).
the first question is which drive system is your cart? SERIES or a SEPEX drive. AND are you going to keep it STOCK or upgrade they system. |

Re: 89 EXGO electric diag help and info needed
I don't have the cables needed to connect the batteries together. I've been searching..but have only found sets for 94 and up.
Would this cable set be ok? |

That is NOT the complete set you need.....That is the BATTERY cables only.....that's all. you need to get a complete matching set of ALL of the cables for your cart.

Re: 89 EXGO electric diag help and info needed
a COMPLETE set will have either 13 or 14 cables.....that includes all the cables that connect the batteries PLUS all of the other.s to complete the HIGH CURRENT Drive..... the trick will be finding a set for your configuration (3 batteries on each side)
