Oil level
I have a TXT that I'm installing a limited slip in. When I pulled the drain plug, nothing came out. I removed the cover and the oil was only in the cover. I did a search and everybody talks about filling through the axle tubes. But nobody tells you how full it is. It would seem like it would have to be fuller than that little bit in the cover. Comments?

Re: Oil level
So I'm putting it back together. The limited slip uses some kind of additive that has a friction modifier. My question, if I use standard gear oil, what is the issue?
Will it ware out quick or make noise? Will it not turn both wheels? |
