Disconnect Backup Buzzer 2001 EZ-GO TXT
I did a search for this but only found how to do it to a PDS model. I cannot get my F/R switch in a position to stop my backup buzzer. The handle at the seat moves very easy (maybe too easy) from forward to reverse but I have to wiggle it to get the buzzer to stop and sometimes that won't even work. Will someone please direct me to something that will show me what to do. I don't even know where the buzzer is located. I opened the seat and listened but it was so loud that I could not determine where it is. I'm guessing it is in with the F/R switch assy. Thanks everyone, Larry

Re: Disconnect Backup Buzzer 2001 EZ-GO TXT
If it is a series cart, 2 black boxes under the seat on the passengers side, it is is under the front cover. If the lever is that loose I would suggest tightening the big center nut on the back of the switch. If it is too loose it will eventually melt the switch. Disconnect a main battery cable first.. As for the buzzer, it may be acting up because the switch is loose. Should be a microswitch on the far passenger side that controls it..

Re: Disconnect Backup Buzzer 2001 EZ-GO TXT
If you'll look at the F&R switch in front of the controller, there should be either a red(orange) or black wire going from one of the microswitches on the F&R to the little black plastic buzzer on the back side of the F&R switch. If you disconnect this from the buzzer, the buzzer won't work.

You may want to put a piece of electrical tape over the buzzer. You can hear it, but it's not so obnoxious. Safety is one thing, hearing loss is another.

Re: Disconnect Backup Buzzer 2001 EZ-GO TXT
All good info here. But if the buzzer stays on all the time , you need to fix the problem. kgsc is on the right track with this problem Check the arm on the micro switch on the F/R switch, it might be bent

Re: Disconnect Backup Buzzer 2001 EZ-GO TXT
Thanks everyone, for the great information. I will take a look at the lever connection at the F/R switch and do what I can to fix the problem without disconnecting the buzzer. Thanks again, Larry
