Default going from 36 to 48 volts

2003 36 v EZGO TXT series cart. Working on upgrading. All that's left are batteries and the charger. Question is: Can you upgrade a powerwise charger from 36 to 48 volts? Thanks.

Nope, but you can sell your existing 36v charger right on this forum and recover some of the cost of a new 48v charger.

As he said, and i suggest a DPI from ScottyB, its a USA built charger, and his prices cant be beat (i know, i sell them too, but not on the internets). Skip the chinese junk that is "cheaper".

As Gman can attest - you can use a 36v and a 12v but it is not the best for your batts.

Worked great for a year or so, as long as I was the one to do the hookup. My wife could never fathom the concept, LOL!

They don't need to But, seriously the 2 batteries on the 12v charger are not getting a GC battery 3 or 5 stage charge, and soon will show some ill effects. It was good you went to the 48v charger when you did.
