Default New entire brake assembly hubs won't fit back on backing plate

Changing out the entire brake assembly on a 99 TXT. Everything is hooked up except the brake cables so I test fit the hub and it slid right on. Next went that to attach the brake cable and I had to pull the attachment point on the new backing plate back to put the pin in, which obviously engages the brakes so the hub wont slide back on. Adjustment screw is down as far as it can go and still can't get the hub to go on. Any ideas how to make them work so I can get the hub back on?

Don't know anything about EZGO, but I'd check the adjustment of the brake pedal.

There is a cable length adjustment, sort of a 2 into one device with a threaded rod that is double nutted... that double nut is your adjustment

I'll give it a whirl, where my cable ended and where the new attachment point was nearly 1/2 inch off so I wasn't sure if I could adjust those nuts where the equalizer bar was enough to reach..will have to wait till Friday thanks guys!
