lighten up ski-doo, I didn't read any of that as smart a$$.
Cast iron is hard, brittle and lacks ductility. Its not soft like you stated. Stock Ezgo hubs are not strong enough for most modified carts. Do a search for "stripped hub" on this site and look at all the results. |

Lighten up ALL.
Stock hubs are ok in most applications. Some people want , or some applications demand better. WE have some carts pulling trailers or with monster torque which demand the high strength hubs. Most will not and run years without stripping a hub (until the teenagers get hold of the cart ) |
