Re: Lights, reducers, seat covers, 2nd seat, fiberglass oxidation!!
On the seat covers, don't be scared of the staple on covers. They wrap around and staple on the bottom. Basically you are guaranteed a good tight fit. Zip on covers will almost always have a wrinkle or two somewhere, either a corner or the side. Staple on covers really are pretty easy to install, just take your time and you will get good results.
As far as seat cover manufactures go, I can't remember any of the well known names off the top of my head and surprisingly, I don't have any links saved. However, there are a bunch of threads on them so try searching. IIRC, one of the higher quality well known companies is somewhere in South Florida. |

With regard to the plastic finishing. Meguiare's have a plastic cleaner called PlastX but it is for clear plastic like in a convertible soft top with a plastic rear window. On their FAQ page in Australia they say:
"PlastX (G12310) is not suited and we do not recommend it for use on painted plastic surfaces. Ultimate Liquid Wax (G18216) or NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 (G1271 are both non-abrasive and dry clear leaving no white residue making them safe to use on smooth painted plastic." I checked the Meguiar's US site and both those products are available. |

That's interesting. The previous post originally said that the NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 had the product code G12718. An 8 followed by a ) makes a "Cool" smiley on the forum so that's why it came out like that.

Re: Lights, reducers, seat covers, 2nd seat, fiberglass oxidation!!
I got the four SS shiny hubcaps that improved the look already! I've gone ahead and ordered the LED street legal light kit and 48V to 12V reducer from site sponsor JGC. I also ordered Sunbrella zippered seat covers from Uptopar Covers from a recommendation I read in one of the site's posts. Once I get all of those installed I'll get a mirror and probably a charge meter. After I save up some cash, maybe then I'll go for the rear seat and some decals. So far it has cleaned up fairly well. Can't wait to get started on the lights.

Almost done. Got the lights, signals, horn, reducer, meter, seat covers, wheel covers all completed. Going for a few decals for accent and calling it done.....for now. May need to replace the MCOR.

Looks nice! If you want to do the paint there is lots of water spot remover on the market if you have any. Then you can use M105 or M205 on the paint. I have used both with good results.
