Yep.

I wired my cart so the key switch has three positions: off, on, on with accessories. In order to sit in my buggy and listen to music, while talking to several neighbors and drinking a few beers, I would have to constantly hear the buzzer if it weren't disconnected, or in forward. I normally place the FNR in the direction I'm likely to go next (in case I drink too many). In this case, I was aimed the direction I planned on going, if a buggy hadn't later parked in front of me (bet he'll never make that mistake again).

I started calling it FNR as opposed to F&R, when I got a gasser, and learned (the hard way) that if you push it in F or R, it's a lot more work, than if you put it in Neutral! I've never tried it, but I assume the electrical FNR is also unable to go, if in N. Dunno if the backup buzzer is activated in N.

I have a 2003 (PDS) and our dog won't go near it because of the backup horn. I know everyone says don't disconnect it, etc., but my question is simple. If I do disconnect it does it mess anything else up? I can easily reconnect it for diagnostic reasons, but because the wiring diagram just puts it into the black hole of the controller, it's hard to see if that connection has any other ramifications. Anyone actually disconnected it and can say that it has not created any problems?

remove the green/black wire off buzzer (beeper in diagram)... pray you never run over anyone .. teach dog to not fear buzzer .. reconnect when you can
will not effect PDS cart

Thank you. I assumed it wouldn't be a problem, but all previous answers left me still wondering if actually removing one of the wires was going to create a new problem. Again, thank you, and Mac (our Golden Retriever) thanks you too.
