Hey guys first post here, i am trying to find the tolerance for the frictions thickness when inspecting the brakes on the ydre drive. Does anyone have them that could share? Thanks!

The friction discs have grooves in the friction lining, the grooves need to be at least 0.015 inch deep.

Great info, cgtech! I am about to pull my diff and replace the brakes. I bought a 2009 Drive and the brake cable is at the very end of adjustment so I am pretty sure that the brake friction discs are ready for replacement.

What is the springs they are referring to? Are there springs in the assembly similar to a motorcycle clutch? I’m in the planning stages of starting my brake replacement in the not too distant future and if there are pressure application springs I feel like I should order them before I even tear into it....

I've never seen the springs be a problem, and they hold it open, not applying the pressure to the frictions.
