Default Beefing up my cushman

So I'm in the initial planning stages of making my old azz electric 68 cushman a bit more of an offroad cart. From reading your guys posts, it seems like I may need to do some work to the electrical system if I am going to put bigger tires on my cart. So what is all this controller business, and how had is it to get more torque/ power out of my 36v system? Do I need to go to 48? And if so, how hard is that? Lots of questions, I know, but humor me, I'm new to all this madness!!

THe best you can do is read everything and then decide to go to a 48v controller system.

So I'm not sure i even have a controller! I got some pics of the motor, I'll post the rest on my thread in the off road section...but in all seriousness this isn't worth it if I can't get more juice!! I know you guys have said it is near impossible on newer carts to go gas, but since this is belt driven...is it possible??
