Default Admiral MOT A1 motor rpms

Curious if anyone knows the max RPM listing for the Admiral MOT A1 motor. I remember seeing it at one time but for the life of me can't find it now. Thanks

Admiral A2 is 6000. A1 may be the same.

That chart gives you the available horsepower at a certain rpm. You asked for max rpm, I assume to avoid over-revving the motor.

I think 6000 rpm is the safe maximum operating rpm for your motor.

6000 rpm will give you approximately 24 mph with standard gearing and 8" stock tire/ wheel combination.

All standard golf cart motors are rated 6000 rpm. This includes any motor without high speed banding such as that offered by EMP.

That's good information to know, my XCT 500 controller came pre-programmed and set at 4000 rpms from Alltrax for my Admiral MOT-A4 motor.

I set that controller at 6k and 460 max armature amperage. We have had 0 failures with this setting. Be sure you have the A4 map loaded. Note there is a S and a T map available

Just because you set it at 6,000 rpm’s doesn’t mean you’ll go that fast. What it does mean is now you have the potential of going 30+ MPH downhill prior to regen kicking in. Most carts are dangerous at those speeds. If you got a young adult behind the wheel could be deadly.

More then likely why it was set at 4000. They knew it could never hit 6000 unless downhill. Your max flat land rpm will probably be between the two. Stupid to set it at 6000 if you can’t hit it on the flats.
