Default EZGO 36v with alltrax dcs400 troubleshoot

I cannot get the solenoid to engage. Cart has a Alltrax DCX400 controller in a PDS cart. Im trying to find a diagram for the solenoid activation circuit. The only one that matches what I have is the EZGO DCS diagram but it shows the lever FR Switch and not the Dash rocker switch. Should the solenoid activation circuit work the same regardless?

The DCS cart did not have a dash rocker switch. The PDS did.

The DCX used a PDS to DCX adapter. Attached is a schematic for it and another with B+ to the solenoid coil highlighted (Red is for forward and the sightly different paths for Reverse are shown in purple)

Solenoid activation in a PDS is a two step process. First you have to get B+ to one side of the coil (Yellow wire) and the get B- to the other side (Blue wire).

The place to start is the smaller of the three wires coming out of the backside of the charge receptacle. That is the voltage source for the B+ that eventually gets to the yellow wire on the solenoid coil.

Im getting B+ through everything on the diagram all the way to yellow wire on the small post of solenoid. But I don't think i am getting B- out of the controller through blue wire to other small post. Could yall remind me of the correct way of testing that to make sure im seeing it correctly?

If you get B+ to the small terminal with the Yellow wire on it, you should also have B+ on he small post with the blue wire on it until the pedal is pushed.

If you don't, the solenoid's coil is bad.

If you do, either the pedal switch is bad, or the controller is bad, or the wiring between them.

Here's a schematic with pedal switch voltage path highlighted. When you put B+ om the DCX pin-5, B- is connected to pin-7, which the adapter connects to J1-pin-6 and that connects to the blue wire to the solenoid.

Yes, tracing the voltage paths out was mind numbing, but I did it years ago when I still had a mind and a PDS cart with a DCX controller in it.
