Maintenance best practice?
New to the cart world, what is the best practice to maintain the batteries? What is the expected life of the batteries? Any other maintenance of the cart, grease etc.? Is there anything I need to purchase for maintenance? I would like to get a list of ideas on best practice on keeping a cart going.
Thanks |

Re: Maintenance best practice?
One of the best places to find out about battery maintenance is Trojan Batteries website. Google trojanbatteries and download their Maintenance Manual. The maintenance is the same regardless of brand. Excellent source for deep cell battery information.
Good luck, |

Re: Maintenance best practice?
On the 28th of each month (like clock work) I
1. tighten my cables. 2. top off each with distilled water. 3. check each with a voltmeter to make sure they are balanced. 4. rinse battery pack off. 5. spray each connection with corrosion protectant. I do this on the 28th because that is the day I installed my Trojans back in Oct. '08., I'm yet to miss a month. |

Re: Maintenance best practice?
I have a maintenance sheet stuck to the bottom of my seat, lift the seat and there it is. When I do the monthlies, I note the voltages and whether I added water to the batts or air to the tires.
