EZGO resistor overheats
My ezgo electric has a problem with the resistor overheating. The serial number is 424758. The other info is REMANUF.B87 (Textron). The bottom, as installed, of the 3 resistor coil assembly gets red hot. The resistor coils are in good condition. All the wires are good and #4 cable. The cart runs fine other than the overheating problem. Any help would be appreciated. Do I possibly have a motor problem? I have not been able to find a wiring diagram for this cart.

Re: EZGO resistor overheats
Batteries are old Trogans. Speed when driving? Well, just riding down the street or on jack stands with peddle down...so I guess fast, as fast as this thing will go anyway. Is this cart an 87? The REMANUF.B87 part on the tag makes me wonder. Any wiring diagrams I have found that look like my setup seem to be from older carts. The batteries need to be replaced I know, they do not hold a charge. Thanks for the reply.
