Default The Drive, worth speed spring

I have a 2009 Drive w Jake's lift and 23" tires on 12 inch rims and can run 22mph verified with GPS. Same top speed by myself or with others on cart. No other upgrades except the 10mm bolt loosened by dealer to my max speed. I've looked at adding a speed spring to get a few more MPH when I'm driving, want to make my EZ-GO friends jealous, they can run 25 right now. I know to not hold it at high rpm for long just want it for short distances, or until I'm ahead. I want something I can turn back down to about 18-20 when kids are on it. Is the speed spring going to make a difference and is it relatively easy install? Let me know what suggestions you may have. Thanks

It's very easy to install. I have one on my 2013. However, it is not really easy to adjust. The governor adjustment remains the same as the factory setup. It wouldn't be easy or convenient for you to back it off for the kids then crank it back up for you to drive.

I'm running stock tires and wheels at 23 mph with the speed spring.

So do I have to adjust the 10mm nut back to stock position first? How do I know where it is supposed to be? I was misunderstanding what it did, I thought the spring just allowed more movement for adjustment, allowing more throttle movement for faster rpm.

I have my nut tightened far as it will go along with the speed spring. It's a lot faster now at 28 mph
