Default 92 Marathon will not move

I've got a 92 EzGo Marathon that's stopped in its tracks. Pack voltage changes with pedal movement and solenoid clicks every time. Anyone know the best way to narrow it down? I did install a different set of contact switches on the F/R switch with no change.

How much is the pack voltage dropping when you try to go and the cart wont move?
Try pushing the cart 1-2 feet and go again?

I was wrong. No voltage drop at the pack. It reads 37.4 on or off the pedal. Voltage at the controller reads 32v off the pedal and jumps to 37.4 on the pedal.

The wide change in voltage is something I have seen before in those models, it was the controller bad. Now, you need to do more tests, like "B+" to "M-", and others to verify, but has been my experience.

That's what I'm looking to confirm as well. Used to be able to spray the F/R switch contacts with cleaner, and it would go....or move the switch back and forth and press the pedal over and over for a few minutes and it would go (according to the owner). Now it's just dead.

With DVM - on the main neg battery post and the + on the lead side of the solenoid, it reads pack voltage of 37.4. + on the controller side of the solenoid reads 32.4 volts without the pedal...it jumps to pack voltage when pressing the pedal

Swapped in another solenoid, no change. It's still doing the same thing

Martin, did you replace the whole FNR switch? If not are you sure it is contacting and wired correctly? Have you tested the throttle output?

I found a schematic online that matched this cart, I couldn't find the right one in the stickys, and had to fix some wiring from the contact switches on the F/R switch to the solenoid/switch/potentiometer. It was still giving screwy voltage readings at the solenoid. I changed the potentiometer and it's working fine now. I guess the speed sensor was really messing with the voltage.
