Help with Bad Boy Buggy Hub repair
Up front, it's a shame that I discovered this forum, and the numerous negative reviews of the Bad Boy Buggy AFTER I had already purchased it. That being said, it's been awesome, until now. For reference, it's a 2013 Bad Boy Buggy Recoil IS 4x4 72v.
I'm hoping you guys can point me in the right direction on how to obtain the needed parts and repair it. Recently, the rubber boots protecting the bearings in the rear hubs came apart and several bearings spilled out. I have attached pics showing the split boot, bearings etc. Is there a piece, other than the boot that holds the bearings in place? Is there a replacement that will work? How about replacing the protective rubber boots? Replacement bearings? Any and all information would be appreciated. At this point I have a $6,000 doorstop and hunting season is fast approaching. Please let me know if there is any additional info needed. THANK YOU!! |

Re: Help with Bad Boy Buggy Hub repair
I don’t know much about Bad Boy buggies, but that’s not a bearing under that boot That is a bad CV joint. You’ll need to replace the axle shaft. Just searching on google I found this:

Re: Help with Bad Boy Buggy Hub repair
Ordinarily you would think it's the CV joint balls that fell out but with the one he has measured at 1/2", I think he's got a inner bearing failure. Looks just like the front strut setup on my Stealth.
