What was the speed before, what is it now? With the Alltrax Toolkit you'll have full access to the controller, with realtime monitoring you can check everything...

Check it with the Alltrax software and PC / Laptop. You'll be able to store a data log file which can be send to Alltrax for diagnosis.

Hmmm. You said the batteries were a couple months old, so I'm wondering if you have a melted battery post or bad connection causing high resistance so the controller isn't getting full voltage.

Check your battery connections and give each of the cables a tug to see if there's anything loose or corroded or otherwise compromised.

Alternatively, if you run the log that OjO mentioned it'll show you if the controller is getting full voltage or not.

If there is a pre-charge resistor installed, yes. Remove the resistor, and the resistance should be open circuit. If you have continuity with resistor removed, the solenoid is defective. Remember the double nut tightening procedure. You must back the solenoid primary terminals second nut up with a wrench while tightening the outer nut, or you will destroy the solenoid internal contacts during terminal tightening.
