Default Re: What did you do to/for your club car today?

1999 CC DS, SePex cart - OBC removed, Lester Summit Series II onboard Battery Charger, 30 amp DC Invertor, complete bushing update, wheel bearings, spindles & full lighting package

My passenger side solenoid failed (coil shorted out) & I needed to order a new one. I spoke with Dave Hicks at Revolutiongolfcars.com
Seems that due to current shipping issues, he doesn't have any at his store. Dave pointed out that if I was looking into doing some future updates, this would be a fine time to think about removing the regen part of my cart. I remove my regen solenoid taped up the #20 gauge control wires, and placed the old regen solenoid into my passenger side solenoid bracket. Removed the white wire from controller (originally went on the left large post on the regen solenoid), in it's place on the controller, I attached the black wire (originally on the right large post on the regen solenoid) this black #4 gauge wire terminates on the (A1) post off the motor.
I then disconnected the speed sensor plug, at the motor & taped the open ends up.
I installed the old regen solenoid into the passenger side compartment & re attached the original solenoid's wires (Red #4 gauge wire, right large post, along with the #20 gauge wire from the Run/Tow switch) (Black #4 gauge wire, left large post) (Blue/Grey #20 gauge wire, back small post) (Blue #20 gauge wire, front small post)
Happy to report, it turned out great! The cart seems faster now & of course,, it will now coast
Thanks Dave!!
P.S. I did order a new solenoid because this stand in solenoid IS Twenty years old

Threw some new shoes on her from a site sponsor! Same wheel size that came off it just bigger rim, but the front left tire rubs a little on turns with some speed so I will get some spacers for the front I reckon!

That looks real nice

I just upgraded my stereo with a new head unit and speakers. Sorry about the sideways picture.

Whoooo! Coming from you that means A LOT.

I also replaced the rubber boots on the steering rack and the set of tie rod ends.
