Default Anyone tow a reel mower behind their cart?

I'm wondering if a golf cart could handle pulling something like this?

It says 7hp required but I'm guessing that refers to a lower torque gas engine.

Just curious if anyone has tried it or knows why it would/wouldn't work.

You have to be careful about towing stuff with the electric cart. Towing a mower or anything requires slower speeds. The slower speeds and added load cause the motor to draw more amperage, the increased amperage will cause motor temps to rise and over time motor damage can occur, ESPECIALLY with larger than stock tires.

I've pulled a lot of heavy stuff (felled trees, vehicles) with my Yamaha G16 electric and I have a 2" ball on it for that. It's extremely handy that way but only for short duration. A thermal protection activates and shuts the cart off and will even with light loads and longer periods. I'd expect the same problem with my club car.
On my Yamaha I'd try it and see not sure about the club car. I'd have to put knobbies on it first of all. Consider how valuable your cart is. My club car is worth 2200.00 to me and the yamaha about 900.

that thing only weighs 184 lb's …. golf cart with 2 sets of clubs and a passenger would be way more than that ….
it will have some resistance in the grass though...

I have pulled one of these all over the place...
