SERGIO,Before I ordered the speed sensor I checked the motor as Dave suggested. As I checked between A1-A2 and turned 1 wheel I would loose continuity. What is next? Brushes??? Speed sensor also??? THANKS

If you’re losing continuity between the A1 and A2 terminals as the motor rotates, it indicates an issue with the brushes. Best thing to do is take the motor apart and inspect it. If the armature is damaged, replace the motor. If it’s just a brush issue, you can replace them.

Send pics if unsure. You can text them to me at 706-431-3917. I'm not gonna be around tomorrow. Early release tomorrow (6AM) for deer season. Won't be back until Sunday so I won't be on the forum. But I'll have my cell.

I have the motor apart on the bench. I do not see anything bad? On the bench I tested A1-A2 and it did NOT lose continuity. I also can not get the end of housing off of the armature to remove the brush holder.

OK I disassembled the motor, turned down the armature, replaced the brushes and bearing and reinstalled. Now I have the same issue of loosing power when going forward and now have NO reverse. The rev beeper sounds but no go in reverse I notice a hot smell from the underseat compartment but can NOT find anything that feels hot? Next step?? Solenoid ? Controller ??? THANKS

Do a continuity test on your motor. Test from A1 to A2, and again from F1 to F2. Do this with the wires disconnected from the motor. You should get continuity in both tests. Then do a continuity test from each of the four posts to the case of the motor. If you have continuity on any of them, you have a short in your motor. The symptoms you describe are those of a failed controller. You're probably smelling the pre-charge resistor on the solenoid burning. A shorted motor can cause a controller to fail, so your first step is to rule out the motor as the issue, then repair the issue with the controller.
