solenoid activation
I have an 84 ds 36v cart. the solenoids don't activate till you jumper the common ground to ground. I suspect the reverse limit switch is part of the issue, looks like it is normally closed allowing them to ground through it till you hit reverse then it opens forcing them to ground through the buzzer. The problem I see here is the diagrams don't show any other connection to the common ground for them, I wonder if the diagrams are just not clear or wrong. seems the diagrams show the buzzer connecting to the buss line accross them instead of the common ground. Am I correct on this? This weekend I think I'll bypass the switch and see if that gets it working without jumpering them.
update: even though it is 20° out I tested the switch (seems to be bad) and bypassed and all but the alarm works. so just need to figure out the solenoid ground when it is in reverse. Last edited by brady.allison; 12-18-2019 at 08:47 PM.. Reason: update |
