Question Old Ezgo vs Really old Club Car

Okay Folks

Here's the deal...

I can buy an 02 Ezgo 36 volt with 6" lift, PDS, windshield, golf bag back, and one year old batteries for $2000 from an individual.

Or... I can buy a 1996 Club Car 48 volt with 4" lift, windshield, lights wired to seperate 12 volt battery, fold down rear seat, and 8 month old batteries for $2400 from an individual.

Or...I can buy an 03 Ezgo 36 volt with 4" axle lift, PDS, chip set for hilly terrain, windshield, golf bag back, and new batteries from a local dealer for $2750 with a 30 day warranty.

The Club Car has all the options that I want but is it too old?
WWYGD? (What would you guys do?)

Well I just bought a 1995 Club Car, so I hope they aren't too old.
My other cart is an early 70's Ezgo that I am now having trouble finding parts for, but it is 35+ years old and still runs great.
What I am getting to is that carts don't age like cars & trucks do.
As long as they are shown reasonable care, they last a very long time.
The main thing on any of these carts is the age and brand of batteries that are in them.
I hope this helps.

You listed the '96 club car option, but where's the "Really Old" club car? lol. 96 isn't bad at all, and if it has everything you want, I say go for what you want.

Viva la Club Car!

NOt for me...... I am not a fan of the 48 volt club cars. I don't like the whole onboard computer thing and they are gutlessly slow... THe first cart you listed is the cheapest and the best for the money.....Ezgo PDS
They didn't make better electric carts than that

Thumbs up Re: Old Ezgo vs Really old Club Car

Well Folks

I finally took the plunge and it was none of the above options.

I bought a lifted 2004 Club Car 48 volt regen cart with factory rear seat, extended top, headlights, tail lights, brush guard, new all terrain tires, rear view mirrors, and '08 Trojan batteries.
Price: $3000

Did I do good?

I'm attaching a couple of pics...

Nice cart! As long as the upgrades were done properly, you should have years of trouble free enjoyment from this cart.

Price means nothing, if you're happy with your purchase then the most important person is satisfied.
In reality, you did some reading, asked for member's input and guidance and then made a decision based on your criteria.

Each person has a different idea of what they need in a cart and their comfort levels with mechanical and electrical issues also differs. When I bought my cart, I did a lot of reading, got an education through the members here and bought a cart as well.
Did I get a good deal? I'm happy and that's what counts.

My dad always said don't ask a question if you might be disappointed in the answer.
