92 club car cant pull big hills with 2 people
ok my cart runs great new drive belt and all. When I try and pull a steep hill it will do it with just me ( 200 pounds ) but when my wife and I try it it will not do it, it just kinda stops like it doesnt have enough power.
Is this right ??? |

How steep is the hill? Can you verify that the rear driven clutch is pushing the belt out to the top of the rear pulley while you are attempting the hill?

Re: 92 club car cant pull big hills with 2 people
My wife is 280 pounds of whale blubber...
Only kiddin' she is about 118 pounds and I am 200 ( solid muscle) Cant see the clutch because im sitting on the seat. It will pull me slowly and has tons of speed on the flat. The hill is VERY steep and long. Not sure how else to describe otherwise... It just sorts stops, doesnt spin the motor just like it cant do it >???? |

"My wife is 280 pounds of whale blubber..."
You're a brave man to print that in public!!!! Seriously, sounds like the cart has just plain reached it's limits. Torque spring for driven clutch would probably help you out some.... |

I think you are running out of power.... As I said the put out 9 hp in 1992........ now? 8? 7.5???
Tom at CPP could probably help you out with some clutch machining and a power spring .... Which would increase your advantage against the hill but do nothing for the real problem ..... which is a lack of power But Tom can fix that too |
