trade Ez go Gas for Yamaha Electric?
this is my first post So hello to everyone, I did a search and came up empty.
I recently bought a 2001 Ezgo gas with a lift and 22" tires. it is in great shape. I have the opportunity to trade it for a 99 G19E yamaha 48V electric. I wanted an electric to start with for hunting and pulling my Ice shanty on the lake. mine is all stock except for the lift and headlights and tail lights. it has white steel wheels. the G19 has aluminum wheels 22" tires, 8 Month old batteries, a stereo, fold down rear seat (carbon Fiber), comes with the charger, and a headlight tail light kit that needs install. any thought from those of you with the knowledge, i need to make the deal tomorrow and I am a rank novice when it comes to this. I wont drive it more than a 1/2 mile a day hunting and about the same on the lake. my kids will run it around the trails some too during the summer months. there are no swamps or large hills to navigate either. thanks for the help and man am I glad I found this forum. |

Pictures will help a lot here, but it seems as fair trade as per description. Batteries are Trojan?
I am a sparky inclined so I will go for it. |

I see pros and cons ..... in one hand is a good running ezgo the other an unknown cart. hunters like electrics for stealth mod... but they are linited in range. the ice better be real thick as the electric could weigh nearly double the gasser......

He said it will be used no more than 1/2 mile a day... anyway, he also said the deal was going today so he probably is into that while we are hanging out at the forum

nope getting ready to leave work and meet up with the guy. if his is in as good a shape as mine Im gonna go for it. I can deal with the extra weight from the batteries. I jus wanted to make sure theere were recalls or design flaws in the 99 yamaha.

Re: trade Ez go Gas for Yamaha Electric?
According to colleagues, Yamaha is one of the best golf cars, if not the best. I work more on Ezgo's but all my ezgo mates and colleagues says Yamaha is better. I don't actually know for particular flaws on that model, may be you should try the Yamaha Forum doing a search for g19
