Default Advice please on upgrading electrics on old Powakaddy discovery

Hi,

Sorry if posted in the wrong place.

I have a 10 year old Powakaddy Discovery which uses the following :

Curtis controller
2 x 12v x 300x DC brushed motors
2 x 12v x 65ah dry cell batteries.

Would any genius on here be able to tell what I would need to bring this machine upto date. The battery size is way too big and I recon I could use 35ah batteries, but these would still be very ugly and cumbersome.

Please send me a PM if you can help or need more info.

Rgds - JB

I don't understand why you don't put the original battery size in it? Diminished battery size can only result in diminished performance. Is this your machine?

It was designed with a certain battery in mind - I'd stay with the OE size, style, amperage

Thanks Mike for he input.

Let me put it another way, is there a unit on the market today that uses more slick and modern electrics?

The end game is driving the back two wheels - how I drive them is not really important so I just need the latest components on the market to drive them.

Thanks JB
